Urgent Crown Replacement For Maria
What is a Dental Crown?
A dental crown is an artificial replacement tooth which has a similar colour to your natural teeth. They are available in a range of materials which includes gold, ceramic and the traditional porcelain fused to metal crown.
The main advantage of a dental crown is that they hide the signs of a damaged or decayed tooth as well as maintaining the tooth’s current function. Crowns last for many years and are very strong and resilient.
At Dentistry On The Square we offer a range of dental crowns to suit your needs.
Porcelain Fused To Metal Crowns
Porcelain fused to metal crowns (or PFM crowns) is a procedure whereby a metal alloy is attached to your tooth. Porcelain is then fused to the metal to create a very strong and long lasting crown.
Because porcelain is used to create the outer part of the crown, the appearance is natural and the colour is very similar to that of your existing teeth.
These crowns are strong enough to withstand heavy biting force, and at the same time can have an excellent cosmetic appearance.
