A couple of months ago I looked into getting a smile makeover. I’d heard good things about dentistry on the square. From the moment I walked in I knew this was the place from me. Such a calming atmosphere with lovely receptionists who are nothing but accommodating. You get text and email reminders of appointments but I think it’s a really nice touch that the receptionists phone to confirm a few days before as well. Dawn, the smile advisor was so friendly and helpful. Sophie, the hygiene therapist always greeted me with a smile and made me feel at ease. Niall, who did my RCT, who also eased any anxiety I had and then last but not least, Jamie. He is an amazing dentist and made me feel so comfortable through the whole process, making sure I was 100% happy with everything. Never once was I in any pain or discomfort. I couldn’t recommend dentistry on the square, and specifically Jamie, enough. It was the best decision I’ve made, and I can’t thank Jamie enough for giving me my smile back 😁

After years of being uncomfortable with my smile and fearing the dentist, I finally decided to get it sorted. I had read lots of positive reviews about Dentistry on the square and the expectations I had were most definitely met from the consultation all the way through to the end result. Amy was great at making me feel at ease whilst I had my fillings etc done and then Daryl was amazing at delivering exactly what I wanted for my smile. All the members of staff are lovely and so helpful, they go above and beyond. I loved my experience at dentistry on the square and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I had been unhappy with my upper teeth for several years and finally decided to take the plunge and get them sorted out. After researching my options I decided to contact Dentistry on the Square. In short best decision I could have made. From my initial consultation with Elaine to the treatment carried out by Andy I could not fault the service I received from start to finish. I had a high speed brace fitted with no pain or complications at all. Five months later my top teeth look nothing short of perfect and I still have bonding to be done. I am delighted with the treatment I received from all staff but in particular Andy who made the entire experience seamless and pain free. If you are thinking of taking the plunge I couldn’t recommend a better option than Dentistry on the Square.

I came to see Andy and Sophie a couple of years ago and discovered that I had problems with gum disease which would have caused major problems if things were left as they were. I was under the impression everything was ok and I was brushing my teeth appropriately. But through their treatment and education I am now in a really great oral health. Superb dental practice. The staff always give you time and answer any questions you may have. Mainly see dentist Jamie Kinnell and Amy the Hygienist. Both are extremely friendly and professional and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and put you at ease. Andy and Daryl are also very good dentists and the reception staff are lovely. HI Im just finished with my treatment at Dentistry On The Square,during my treatment I had a few teeth removed and it was 100%pain free never felt a thing during the extractions and didn't have any pain in the following days either,since then I have had great hygiene care and implants fitted two replace my front four teeth,again all the treatment from start to finish with my implants was 100%pain free.I would like to thank all the wonderful friendly staff at the practice for the amazing way I was looked after and treated during the whole process.I can honestly and happily say im delighted with my new smile and would thoroughly recommend to everyone that DENTISTRY ON THE SQUARE is number one and the place to go.THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE what a great team.

It is the only dentist that I’ve been in that doesn’t feel like a dentist. Never imagined dentistry could be pain free. Daryl was world class throughout the duration of my 6 month braces treatment. He advised the invisible braces and no one even noticed I had them fitted. They also have bunkered magazine in the waiting area.

Went to Dentisry on the Square for teeth whitening and had a great experience start to finish. Only took two appointments and had a dental hygiene as well which was pain free and also got advice on how to brush my teeth etc which I hadn't had before at my normal dentist. Will be attending again once I run out of gel. Would definitely recommend.

Just had op for 2 implants, sinus lift and bone graft and I have to say just amazing thank you so much Jamie. My experience here has been great. I’m super happy with my whitening and I received great after care advice to continue looking after my smile. I read all the reviews and thought BRILLIANT let’s go for it having a needle phobia-this was the dentist for meI contacted dentistry on the square and explained I had a chipped tooth and was looking for an appointment with a view to use their pain free inject system and also whatever other treatment required. The receptionist could only offer me a Wednesday appointment that wasn’t over 3 weeks away. She then contacted me back and advised the sister practice could see me sooner, I asked do they carry out the ‘needle free inject system’? I was advised that they do everything and I was in great hands.Arrive at the sister practice for my prepaid appointment- the dentist who was very nice, wasn’t aware of this system but then dental nurse was who advised me ‘we don’t use it anymore it’s rubbish’So for anyone looking to use this fabulous system that has demo videos advising how wonderful it istheir staff advise it’s rubbish...I then requested a refund and was ignored but the root cause....the receptionist providing inaccurate information.Respond to customer feedback

I had a crown done here and asked for the best quality crown on the market, as money wasn't an issue. What I got was a same day CEREC crown, which, whilst convenient, is not the best on the market. I now have to have a procera or similar crown done elsewhere. I also asked for composite bonding to 2 teeth, which was done, but did not ask for neighbouring teeth to be filed, which they were. I would not go back here. The dentist that was formerly on this spot was far superior. I know they have moved, but not sure where to. I pay for my dentistry and obviously check ups are free in scotland, but this practice has now absorbed a neighbouring one and if you aren't on the pricey and totally uneccesary (IMO) private plan, you are sent there. What you get on the private plan, check ups and scales, you can get at any dentist far cheaper. You are entitled to free checks in scotland so why are they charging for them? and paying for separate scales works out cheaper.More on the scales here. Previously i had a standard one and an in depth one that cost over £60. not only is the pricey one not worth the money, my gums were left sore, sensitive and bleeding. I prefer a basic scale and polish more regularly than this invasive one.I switched to the sister practice who do offer the overpriced scale but also a more affordable one. However the affordable one here is too basic and is done by the dentist in about 2 minutes, so I have now left altogther. I just had a perfect scale at my new dentist for £25.

I’ve had high-speed braces with Dr Andy and I honestly can’t put into words how happy I am with the results. My smile has turned out so much better than I imagined. I’m currently undergoing ortho treatment fromAndy and the team at Dentistry on the Square. Only had my braces In for a Quick 16 weeks and they are now ready to be removed. I have had nothing but fantastic service from my first contact with the team here. When they say Pain free the really mean it. There are dentists ,and then there is Dentistry on the Square (" D.O.T.S."). They are welcoming,warm,very very efficient, and treat folk like human beings rather that customers to make money from. I have used several dentists over the past 50 yrs and ,by far, D.O.T.S. are exceptional. After a full explanation they say what will happen; appointments are made; reminders sent by text; they receive you on time,and ( most importantly) the standard of dentistry skill is 1st class . This is all executed with the patient in mind which results in no worry or fear for the patient and all conducted in a relaxed professional manner leaving the patient feeling pleased and satisfied and with an overall feeling of being treated as an individual. D.O.T.S. work at being good in all departments ,not just dentistry . That is a skill which so many businesses fail to recognise is vitally importatnt in todays world. Their patient care is exemplary. Complacency is a word they don' t seem to know. I wish they had been around 50 yrs ago !

I have had the best experience with dentistry on the square! I had very prominent white spots on my two front teeth which i thought was impossible to remove. Jamie and the rest of the team made me aware of all the options and planned a treatment that suited me best, not necessarily the most expensive one.Not only are the white spots gone, my teeth are whiter and healthier too! Cant thank everyone at Dentistry on the Square enough! Cant stop smiling!!!!

Implant working well implant took 5 months from 1st consoltation to complete. Also amy jackson provided hygeniest 1st class service. I couldn't be happier with my experience! I was super nervous and so embarrassed to even show my teeth before I came to see Andy. Straight away I felt this was the right decision as Andy was really helpful, friendly and professional. He suggested Invisalign worked best for my needs and I personally enjoyed that no one noticed I was wearing them. I found the scans particularly helpful each time I visited to get an understanding of changes and as a treatment it was pain-free. Five months later and I am over the moon with the results. I couldn't recommend this experience more for someone considering it.

I informed Dentistry on the Square that I wanted to get a teeth whitening treatment last Sunday ahead of my wedding. The practice has been nothing but helpful in facilitating that in a supremely quick manner. I went for an assessment on the Wednesday following my query and by Thursday was picking up my trays for the whitening and had managed to be booked in for a much needed cleaning. The practice was highly conscientious of the fact my wedding is in three weeks and had allowed me sufficient time to get a full three course of treatment so at a minimum my teeth with look great in my wedding photos. After picking Dentistry on the Square as my potential dentist for cosmetic work, I was really excited for my first meeting with the clinic. However, I am less impressed with their lack of communication. When booking my consultation over the phone, I expressed an interest in wanting my first appointment to be with a particular dentist and that was not met with any challenge during the discussion. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the clinic several weeks later my first consultation was instead with a smile advisor, in the past I have always been able to work around these type meetings (either via Skype, Email or avoiding them all together) as for me personally I do not benefit from them, and to begin with all I was looking for was a veneer on a discoloured tooth. In order to meet this 15minute Saturday morning appointment, I had to incur significant cost and cancellation fees with hotels and travel due to my work in London. The following Monday when I phoned the clinic to communicate my dissatisfaction I was told I would receive a phone call from a supervisor about next steps. Unfortuantely, two weeks later I have not heard anything which is disappointing given that my complaint was regarding a lack of communication.

It’s fair to say I don’t like dentists. I’ve always suffered terrible anxiety at the thought of it.However, since first attending DOTS, the understanding shown for this phobia by Dawn and then Andy has been fantastic.At every stage of my treatment so far, Andy has ensured I’ve known what was happening, how it would feel and how long each part would take.It’s an approach that ensured that within two visits I’ve been able to cope with everything up to root canal treatment and an extraction. I had a consultation about the movement my teeth had made since having braces 10years ago, (my own fault as I didn’t wear my retainer).I was given all options, and through discussion decided that high speed braces would be the best option for me. As I play rugby, I couldn’t commit to wearing Invisalign for the recommended times due to having to wear a gumshield. Andy also gave me options in regards to gumshields, which put me at ease. During the time having the braces fitted I used a boil & bite gumshield, with no issues (I had to remould the gumshield pretty much every other week, but it was very easy to do!). There was no damage to any wires while using a gumshield, I could still play contact sport during my treatment. Having the braces was completely pain free, and virtually invisible in pictures. I am now coming to the end of my treatment after 3months, everything has been hassle and pain free. I am now looking forward to getting my braces off, and having a new gumshield fitted for my new and improved teeth!
